The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reacted to a viral social media post in which a Nigerian man listed its Abuja headquarters as a hotel for sale.

Taking to X, a verified user identified as @osere_x shared a photo of the EFCC building and advertised it as a hotel located in Abuja.

The man stated that the property was selling for N800 million, with an additional N120 million as an agent fee.

“HOTEL AVAILABLE. Location: Abuja. Price – 800M. Agent fee – 120M. Only serious buyers should DM,” @osere_x write.

The post went viral, recording hundreds of reposts and replies, thousands of likes, and over 400,000 views.

The EFCC later responded on its page, saying: “Hmmm… You get mind ooo,” suggesting that the user was bold for making such a claim.

The reply quickly drew more reactions and further increased engagement on the post.
