Iran Supreme Leader Khamenei, Daughter, Grandchild Killed In US-Israel Strikes

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been confirmed dead following a series of missile attacks carried out by Israel and the United States on Saturday.

The attack also reportedly killed several members of Khamenei’s family, including his daughter, grandchild, daughter-in-law, and son-in-law.

Speculation over Khamenei’s fate spread worldwide on Saturday, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stating that “there are many signs the supreme leader is no longer with us”.

State broadcaster IRIB confirmed the news on Sunday, saying, “The Supreme Leader of Iran has reached martyrdom.”

The state-affiliated outlet Mehr added that Khamenei “sacrificed his life to lift Iran… and he is in the grand presence of martyrs above.”

Iran has declared 40 days of mourning for Khamenei.

US President Donald Trump had also announced Khamenei’s death on Truth Social, calling him “one of the most evil people in history” and describing the strikes as justice for Iranians and people worldwide who suffered under his rule.

Trump claimed the operation was carried out with advanced intelligence and in coordination with Israel, leaving Khamenei and other leaders with no way to escape.

“Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead,” Trump wrote.

“This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.

“He was unable to avoid our intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and, working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do.”

Earlier, Trump had indicated that the operation was part of a broader goal of regime change in Iran, urging “the Iranian people to take back their country.”

Reports suggest that Khamenei was meeting with senior aides when the building was hit.

In response, Iran launched drone attacks targeting US civilian and military sites across the Gulf, including strikes affecting airports and shopping areas in Dubai. This prompted the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait to close their airspace on Saturday.

KanyiDaily recalls that the United States and Israel carried out a series of strikes on Iranian cities on Saturday, causing explosions and large columns of smoke in the capital, Tehran.
