Fatima Muhammed was arrested on Tuesday, April 7, 2025, after a video shared on TikTok showed her using a N500 note to wipe mucus from her nose.
After the video went viral, EFCC operatives tracked her down and arrested her in Maiduguri metropolis.
She is currently being detained at the Maiduguri detention facility as investigations continue.
The commission said the suspect will be taken to court once the investigation is completed.
KanyiDaily recalls that the EFCC recently revealed why the agency has not arrested controversial influencer Blessing CEO over her cancer saga despite the public backlash.
