Davido Announces Break From Music, Says His Songs Still Dominate Clubs [Video]

Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced that he is stepping away from music for now.

Davido made the announcement during a livestream in Osun State, where he responded to fans who kept asking about the release of new songs.

In the viral video, the 33-year-old singer explained that he is currently taking what he described as a “musical break.”

Davido also bragged that his music is still dominating clubs and playlists, saying many of the songs people hear at parties still belong to him.

Stop asking me when I am dropping chat. I’m on a musical break. If you go to the club right now, out of twenty songs, 10 na ‘baddest’. We are on a musical break,” he said.

The award-winning artiste is presently in Osun to support the second-term campaign of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke.
