Odumodublvck Clashes With Police Officers Attempting To Arrest Him At Lagos Club [Video]

Nigerian rapper Odumodu Black had a heated exchange with police officers who attempted to arrest him after his performance at a Lagos nightclub.

A video of the incident showed the rapper questioning the legality of the attempted arrest in the early hours of Saturday, August 29.

Odumodu Black told one of the officers that he could not lawfully be arrested, claiming that his lawyers had already responded to the police invitation.

‘’You do not have any jurisdiction. My lawyers attended to it (the invitation). They came to your office,” he said.

When the officer asked whether he was refusing to be arrested, Odumodu Black said he was not resisting.

He explained that an ex parte court order had been issued preventing his arrest and questioned why he should go with the officers.

‘’I am not resisting an arrest. There is a motion ex parte that says you cannot arrest me. Why should I follow you? It is illegal,’ he said.

The police officer, however, responded that the force had not received a copy of the alleged court order.

The circumstances behind the attempted arrest remain unclear, as the police have yet to publicly disclose why the rapper was wanted.
