Redesigned Naira Notes: ICPC Arrests Stanbic IBTC Bank Staff Over Sabotage

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says it has arrested a staff of Stanbic IBTC bank for alleged sabotage.

This was disclosed in a short statement posted on the Twitter handle of the ICPC on Friday.

The ICPC statement said the bank official is the Branch Service Head of Stanbic IBTC Bank, Deidei Branch, Abuja.

The statement said the bank official was taken into custody for her deliberate refusal to upload cash into the branch’s Automated Teller Machines (ATM) even when the cash was available, and people were queuing at the ATMs.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that Nigerian music legend, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2baba has remembered his bossom friend and colleague, Lanre Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan two years after the latter died.

Friday evening, 2baba admitted missing the late singer.

The “African Queen” crooner also assured Sound Sultan that he will continue to celebrate him till he joins him.

UPDATE: ICPC has also arrested FCMB Osogbo Operation Manager for hoarding new Naira notes inside ATM
