‘Wizkid still future of Afrobeats’ – Skiibii

Despite being in the industry for 15 years, Nigerian artist Skiibii believes his Grammy-winning colleague Wizkid, 33, is still the ‘future’ of Nigerian music and Afrobeats.
He said this in response to Starboy’s latest endeavour, ‘Soundman 2.’
Skiibii captioned a screenshot of the extended play, EP, on his Instagram story: “@wizkidayo person wey don do like 15 years and still the future.”
Kanyidaily recalls that Wizkid won The Headies ‘Next Rated’, an award given to biggest prospect of the year in the Nigerian music industry in 2011.
