Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar on Thursday attended a meeting of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition leaders in Abuja.

Among those present are former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, ex-minister of digital economy Isa Pantami, ADC chairman David Mark, and former Sokoto governor Aminu Tambuwal.
In a post shared on X,, Atiku described the gathering as a stand against “oligarchs who promote poverty and insecurity in the land”.
The meeting comes after opposition figures and ADC leaders agreed in July to adopt the ADC as a joint platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The coalition also brings together several other notable politicians, including Uche Secondus, former PDP national chairman; Peter Obi, Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate; Rotimi Amaechi, ex-transportation minister; and Odigie Oyegun, former APC chairman.
