The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, High Chief Otaru Douglas, has attributed the growing number of unmarried people to the increasing availability of free or transactional sex.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Chief Otaru suggested that the trend could change if women refused to engage in sexual activity outside marriage.
“The unmarried population is increasing bcos of access to free or transactional s3x. Men ‘ll marry by the time ladies deny dem sex,” he wrote.
KanyiDaily also reported how police arrested a 46-year-old man, Abi Baragon, for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Orineme Ayanate, several times after she refused his marriage proposal in Abia.
