Atiku Is Too Old To Contest 2027 Election, He’s Like Biden – Ayo Fayose
Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose said ex+Vice President Atiku Abubakar is too old to run for president in the 2027 election.

Fayose made the comment during an interview on TVC’s Politics Tonight on Tuesday, August 18.
He compared Atiku’s situation to that of former United States President Joe Biden, arguing that age could affect the ex-vice president’s chances in the next election.
Fayose acknowledged that Atiku is a good person but said he believes the time has come for the former vice president to step aside from presidential contests.
He also spoke about Atiku’s running mate, former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, saying he may struggle to gain strong support in the South-South region.
According to Fayose, political divisions within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) could also affect the party’s performance in the region.
He said the ADC and other political groups associated with the opposition are yet to build a strong presence among voters.
Fayose alao argued that the 2027 election could be the final presidential contest for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, Peter Obi.
He said, “Atiku is now really old. He’s a good man, but time has caught up with him. Atiku contesting an election is like calling Biden to come and contest again.
“Let me say this again: President Bola Tinubu, Atiku and Peter Obi, this is their last chance of contesting an election. The three of them.
“In Rivers State, during this election, Amaechi will have very little support. Even the party is not together. Most of these ADC and Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, members are not on ground. Nobody is connected to those parties yet.”
