UPDATE: Brazilian Exchange Students Refuse to Sleep in Unilag Female Hostel

Got a mail from University of Lagos (Unilag) Management about the Brazilian Exchange students that refused to sleep in Moremi Hostel because they got scared when students showed interest in their hair. Read the story HERE.

REJOINDER: BRAZILIAN EXCHANGE STUDENTS REFUSE TO SLEEP IN UNILAG FEMALE HOSTEL

The attention of the University of Lagos Management has been drawn to recent social media reports insinuating that the University is currently embroiled in a diplomatic stand-off with Brazil due to the refusal of some exchange students to sleep in the University hostel accommodation.

After careful evaluation of our records, the University authorities have found the claims made in the report to be totally untrue as the incident referred to in the report did not occur. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no record of any Brazilian exchange student and the University is not embroiled in any diplomatic stand-off.

We, therefore, wish to urge all individuals to note this fact and discountenance the reports.
