Our dear Minister of Finance was on CNN with Fareed Zakaria some minutes ago and she said NNPC has returned $16 Billion of the Missing $20 Billion.
She said Sanusi’s claim was initially N48billion out of which N16billion was found almost immediately. The 20billion is still pending.

She didn't say that NNPC returned 16 billion; what she said is that 16 billion has been accounted for. Sanusi did not say the money was lost in the first place, he said it was unaccounted for.
That's not what she said, according to her, $16b was remitted prior to sanusi's whistleblowing. She went further to state that investigations are ongoing to account for the rest of the money. I watched n listened to the interview. The minister gave an excellent and intelligent response to every question from zakari including the issue of homosexual laws.
