VIDEO: Let’s Not Deceive Ourselves, Northern Nigeria Is At War – Senator Marafa

“There is war in the North and unless something is done, I’m afraid, the future in the next two, three years, this situation might be out of control.”

The senator representing Zamfara Central in the upper legislative chamber, Kabiru Marafa has raised the alarm that there is war in the north of Nigeria based on the senseless killings and abductions by armed bandits.

Senator Marafa, while speaking on the floor of the red chamber, stated that the North is at war. He said:

“Permit me to draw the attention of my colleagues and Nigeria that the North is at war as I’m talking to you, let nobody deceive himself.

“There is war in the North and unless something is done, I’m afraid, the future in the next two, three years, this situation might be out of control.”

Marafa cautioned the northern elites not to think they can take refuge in Abuja; stating that this may be a mirage. He said:

“And for those of us Nigerians, especially the elites from the North that think maybe they are taking refuge or cover in Abuja, God forbid, that might be a mirage because Mr (Senate) President, these issues are far beyond what anybody maybe thinks they are.
