There is serious pandemonium at Balogun market, Lagos Island as two of the biggest shopping plazas is currently on fire.

Both plazas are located in different areas of the market which leaves Lagosians puzzled as to what must have triggered the fire.

BRASAS PLAZA by GREAT NIGERIA HOUSE and another Plaza by IDUMAGBO.

Firefighters are currently on ground at BRASAS plaza but nothing is being done as marketers are running helter-skelter trying to save their goods.

No firefighters yet at IDUMAGBO, only security officials. People are risking their lives climbing up to stop the inferno.

This is the fourth time in the last four weeks that a massive market will go up in flames. Recall that Ochanja market Onitsha, Anambra state was burnt down after a fuel truck lost it’s break, spilling the fuel content that eventually started a massive fire that claimed over 500 lives and goods worth over N5billion.
