Bayelsa Election: NYSC Members Hides In King’s Palace As Thugs Attack Polling Units

Some members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Saturday reportedly abandoned their duties as ad-hoc electoral officers after their units were attacked by political thugs.
The Guardian reports that the corps members sought refuge at the palace of the King of Enewari, Southern Ijaw LGA.
An eye witness said the thugs were after electoral materials were aided by soldiers.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused thugs loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) of hijacking electoral materials in Nembe area of Bayelsa State.
