The former first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama paid a surprise visit to the studio of Njideka Akunyili Crosby, one of the daughters of the late Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dora Akunyili.

Njideka is a Nigerian-born visual artist who has been rated among the best in America after making headlines when her 2017 botanical painting, titled “Bush Babies”, sold for $3.4 million USD.

While we are not sure the real reason behind Michelle Obama’s visit, we are sure she was captured by Njideka’s artwork as her works could be seen in her studio for free.

The visit was announced on Instagram by are also famous sister, Chidiogo Akunyili Parr.

“So this just happened! Casual Saturday in the Akunyili Crosby family. When Michelle Obama pays a visit to your studio! ? Me to my sister, “if it could come up, make sure to tell her about the book.” ?,” she wrote.
