Nigerians Reacts As M.I Abaga Attacks Akon For Calling Wizkid His Little Brother
Popular Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga is currently under heavy fire on social media for attacking singer Akon who called Wizkid his little brother.
Akon and Wizkid performed together in Ghana at the self-acclaimed ‘Africa’s Biggest Urban Music Beach Festival’ – Afro Nation, on Monday night, December 30, 2019.
Moment after the performance, Akon took to his Twitter page to share a picture of himself and Wizkid with a caption “Me and my lil bro @wizkidayo at AFRONATION Ghana!.”

It seems like M.I Abaga was not too pleased with Akon’s “lil bro” description of Wizkid as he requoted the tweet with an unpleasant caption.
OG abeg chill with that lil bro yan https://t.co/pdHteEtZVW

M.I’s caption started a hot conversation on Twitter, while some Nigerians backed him, others said Akon has done nothing wrong.
Mi Abaga thought Wizkid fans would support him, but “omi teyin wogbin lenu”
So you mean Akon should have tweeted “Me and my boss Wizkid” ? But it’s this same you that called Vector of 33yr old your son
“Judas The Rat” you don come again 🐀 🤡

Is there anything Wizkid has more than Akon ?
Even Children, Akon has 6
So why is MI triggered?

Akon probably refused to feature in MI's song.
Now I understand what Vector said.
That was so sophomoric.
You don't want to be disrespected but you feel it's okay to disrespect ur elder.
Akon no be any Nigerian artist mate.
LONELY by Akon big pass MI career. pic.twitter.com/3pQCYpFPHt— OKOROAFOR (@Josh_Heavens) December 30, 2019

Even Wizkid will call Akon “Egbon.” Is it age, number of global hits, net worth, International awards, charity works across Africa and beyond. Akon is light years ahead.
Because somebody is the toast of the globe now no mean say we no go respect our elders. Akon is a Legend.

Once upon a time, Akon dropped worldwide hits, back to back. Top American musicians queued up to feature him.
He remains a legend and a senior man in the game. Wizzy is RIGHTFULLY his lil bro because Akon has been there.

It's funny how we see things
Akon is 46 years and wizkid is 29 years.
The relationship between them cordial, why is it wrong for him to call wizkid his little brother.?— Emir Of Kuvukiland – BOS 🏇 (@balogunfd) December 30, 2019

MI asked Akon to chill for the Lil bro he called Wizkid
When Akon was putting Africa on the map Wizkid was still forming assembly line.
But when Vector said “that thinking if far from you because it’s top of the shelf” lot of you guys didn’t get it.
Hope you’ve gotten it now.

Lol. Na you suppose chill. I don't see anything wrong in Akon addressing Wizkid as his Lil Bro. I am sure Wizzy himself has no problem with it. Akon senior am for everything.
