Former Emir Sanusi arrested, exiled to Nassarawa state where he will spend the rest of his life in exile.

Security Operatives has arrested dethroned Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II and taken him out of the ancient city of Kano amidst tight security.

The security operatives are taking the former emir to Nassarawa state where Sanusi will spend the rest of his life in exile.

Lamido Sanusi was earlier put under house arrest by Governor Ganduje using heavy security personnel of which included the DSS, Police and Army who sealed off the Palace.

Governor Ganduje who has the constitutional powers to appoint an Emir has just announced Aminu Ado Bayero as the new emir of Kano.
