Nigerian Government orders closure of all universities, nursery, primary and secondary school to curb coronavirus

The closure is an important measure in curbing the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in the country.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has ordered the closure of all schools including Universities, Nursery, Primary and secondary schools nationwide.

The closure is an important measure in curbing the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in the country.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education Sonny Echono disclosed this today.

According to him,

“We have directed all higher institutions to close this weekend.

Unity Schools that have completed their exams are to close immediately. Others are to hurry and close latest on 26th March,”

Meanwhile, the University Of Lagos have ordered the closure of the institution for 3 weeks and postponed their convocation ceremony.
