COVID-19: “Femi Died Because You Refused To Pick Our Calls” – Nigerian Woman Blasts NCDC

A Nigerian woman identified as Adetutu Balogun has taken to her twitter page to call out the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) over the death of a person named Femi.

According to Adetutu, the reason why Femi passed away was because the NCDC never responded to their phone calls which they had put out for hours.

The angry Nigerian woman noted that many people in the deceased’s house are currently exposed to the coronavirus because of their action.

“I am so angry, we tried to reach out to @NCDCgov for hours bcos of Femi. Now he is dead! Femi died at home bcos NCDC will not pick the damn phones!

“Everyone in his house are now exposed to the virus. Nigeria is struggling to evacuate patients at only 2k cases! Damn u guys! Damn u!”

KanyiDaily recalls that the Director General of the NCDC, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu had revealed that the country is in desperate need of more coronavirus testing kits.

Ihekweazu said Nigeria needed to stock more of the RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) extraction kits to cater for the expansion of its COVID-19 testing capacity.
