Police Allegedly Shoots Student As #EndSARS Protest Turns Bloody In Owode, Ogbomosho [Video]

The police have allegedly shot a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) during the on going protest against the extrajudicial activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

The LAUTECH students had taken to the streets to join fellow Nigerians protesting against the SARS tactical unit of the Nigerian Police Force over brutality, illegal arrest, extortion, extra-judicial killings, among others.

It was gathered that during the #EndSARS protest on Saturday, the studnents met stiff resistance at the Owode police station in Ogbomoso. Oyo State.

The police men reportedly opened fire at the unarmed protesters and a stray bullet hit a protesting LAUTECH student from the back.

His fellow protesters quickly rallied around him to save his life. A motorcycle was flagged down and he was hurriedly carried to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on the police to arrest protesters, insisting that the EndSARS protests had already been hijacked by hoodlums sponsored by internet fraudsters (Yahoo Boys).
