Lagos State Police Command has arrested over 20 RevolutionNow protesters who stormed the streets to express their displeasure over bad governance in Nigeria.

The protesters had stormed the streets of Ojota and Maryland axis chanting solidarity songs as Nigeria marks 60 years of existence as an independent nation today, Thursday, October 1, 2020.

However, according to The Nation, about 20 protesters have been arrested so far by security operatives while chanting anti-government songs.

KanyiDaily had reported that the Commisioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu said parents of any youth arrested for protest on October 1 will be prosecuted

The Lagos state police command yesterday banned rallies and protests in the state ahead of the October 1 Independence Day celebration.
