“Biblically, Bride Price Should Only Be Paid For Virgins” – Reno Omokri Makes Shocking Claim

Controversial writer, Reno Omokri has made a shocking claim that bride price should only be paid for brides who are yet to lose their virginity.

The former  presidential aide took to his Twitter page on Saturday to make the claim which he backed up with a Bible quotation from Exodus 22:17.

According to him, both biblically and even in traditional African society,  people don’t pay bride price  for non-virgins. He wrote”

“What I am going to say will shock people. Scripturally, Bride Price is ONLY paid for virgins. Don’t argue with me. Argue with God. See Exodus 22:16-17. By Scripture (an d also in traditional African society), you pay no Bride Price for non-Virgin.”
