Speculations have been flying that Jonathan is being persuaded to contest for 2023 presidential election, at the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s two terms.

But speaking with reporters after attending an event organised by the Commonwealth Community Choir in Abuja on Friday, Jonathan said it is too early to talk about his political ambition as there are still other issues to focus on ahead of the next general election.

When asked if he would be joining the presidential race in 2023, Jonathan said: “It is too early to talk about that.”

KanyiDaily recalls that some months ago, Goodluck Jonathan also denied the reports suggesting that he is under pressure to contest the 2023 presidential election.
