Lady Gaga And Jennifer Lopez To Perform At Joe Biden’s Inauguration

American superstars, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez will be performing at Biden’s swearing-in ceremony

American singers, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez have both been confirmed to perform at the inauguration of president-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced on Thursday, January 14, that Gaga will perform the National Anthem at the event which will take place at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol building.

Lopez is also among the Celebrities who will be performing at Biden’s swearing-in. The 51-year-old singer took part in a virtual chat with the president-elect during the campaign.

The prestigious event will begin with an invocation from Father Leo J. O’Donovan, a former president of Georgetown University, and Biden’s longtime friend.

The ceremony will also have, Amanda Gorman, the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate in the U.S. in 2017, who will present a poetry reading.

The International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), a union that has been supporting Biden to date, will also feature at the inauguration of the 46th president of the United States.

Inaugural committee CEO Tony Allen said in a statement:

“We are thrilled to announce an inspired group of dynamic participants for the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies. They represent one clear picture of the grand diversity of our great nation and will help honor and celebrate the time-honored traditions of the presidential inauguration.

“They are also committed to the President-elect and the Vice-President-elect’s steadfast vision of a new chapter in our American story in which we are an America united in overcoming the deep divisions and challenges facing our people, unifying the country, and restoring the soul of our nation,” he added.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump will not attend his successor’s inauguration after he announced on Friday January 8, 2020, through his official Twitter page.

However, the US Vice President, Mike Pence opted against the president will, said he will attend Biden’s inauguration, despite Trump’s absence.
