Kenyan runner, Emmanuel Naibei has won the to 6th edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon for the year 2021.
Naibei won the male category of the race which was flagged of by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, Saturday morning.
The Kenyan runner beat about 300 marathoners on Saturday morning to win the 42km race in 2 hours 11 minutes and 37 seconds and also claim the grand prize of $30,000.
He bested the Ethiopian duo of Daresa Geleta and Demiso Legese who finished second and third respectively and will go home with $20,000 and $15,000, respectively.
