Nollywood Actor, Baba Ijesha Arrested For Defiling 14-Year-Old Girl Since When She Was 7

Baba Ijesha has been sexually assaulting the 14-year-old since the past 7 years.

Lagos State Police Command on Thursday arrested a Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, for allegedly defiling a minor.

The command spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, said the 48-year-old Yoruba actor was arrested for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl over the course of 7 years.

“The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Olarenwaju James ‘male’ 48, aka Baba Ijesha, popular Nollywood actor for defiling a minor.

“The case of defilement was reported on 19th April, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya ‘female’ at Sabo Police Station and transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.

“Based on preliminary findings, the suspect started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was seven years old.

“The suspect confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant,” the statement reads.

He added that the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered for proper investigation as he promised to do justice in the matter.

 

KanyiDaily had also reported how another Yoruba actor, Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi, was arrested for allegedly raping one of his daughter’s friends at Osogbo, his home town.
