The Nigerian Chief of Army Staff General Ibrahim Attahiru is dead.

General Attahiru died in a plane crash that happened in Kaduna today.
The 54 year old General was appointed chief of army staff on January 26, 2021. He succeeded Tukur Buratai.

Mr Attahiru was killed alongside other military chiefs who were on the same flight.
