Outrage As Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Kills 36 People In Benue

At least 36 persons have been massacred by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Benue.

Suspectd Fulani herdsmen have reportedly killed at least 36 residents including students of the College of Education in Katsina Ala, Benue State.

According to SaharaReporters, the Fulani herdsmen stormed Shikaan Mbagena Kpav, a TIV community, in the early hours of Thursday, and carried out the massacre.

There are conflicting figures of casualties as some believed the attackers might have killed up to 100 residents.

The incident has sparked outrage among Nigerians on social media who are retweeting a hashtag, #BenueUnderAttack, and lamenting the ineptitude of the federal government and security agencies to address the situation of the killer herdsmen.

This comes just a few days after Governor Samuel Ortom has asked Benue people to pick up weapons not prohibited by law for self-defense against Fulani herdsmen.
