Youths Storm Plateau Assembly With Bodies Of Victims Killed By Fulani Militias [Photos]

Angry youths on Wednesday stormed the Plateau State House of Assembly with a truckload of dead bodies killed by Fulani militias in Yelwan Zangam community in Jos North local government area.

It was gathered that gunmen suspected to be Fulani militias killed over 30 persons including children during an attack that started from 8:45 pm Tuesday and lasted till the early hours of Wednesday, August 25.

Vexed by the attack which left many others injured and houses burnt, the youths stormed the Plateau Specialist Hospital where the corpses of victims had been deposited and evacuated them into vans on Wednesday.

The protesting youths later proceeded with the corpses to the State House of Assembly, blocking all roads leading to the area, demanding to speak with the Speaker of the House.

Despite the address by the Speaker of the House who sued for calm, the youths were not satisfied with the response and proceeded to the Government House where the corpses of the victims were laid.

KanyiDaily had also reported how seven persons were killed and 250 houses burnt by suspected Fulani militia who attacked some communities in Miango District, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
