Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Bella Shmurda has taken to social media to appreciate God for blessing him after he dropped out of the Lagos State University (LASU) to pursue his music career.

Bella Shmurda Counts His Blessings

In a post shared on his Twitter page, the 24-year-old singer revealed that he failed some courses while at the institution, adding that the failure eventually led to his decision to quit LASU.

Bella Shmurda, who also acknowledged his stubbornness, said his decision to quit school gave him an opportunity to focus on his music career which has now given him bragging right.

The singer also appreciated dancer, Poco Lee, and rapper, Olamide for supporting his music career by motivating him to do the Vision2020 viral video that brought him into the limelight.

He wrote; “Thank God I was stubborn and I never got to pass those exams then. Big thanks to @Poco__lee for telling me to do that vision2020 viral video, shoutout to @Olamide for his listening ears and open hands for upcoming acts.

“I now worth over half a billion streams (550millions streams to be precise). I for still Dey lasu Dey wine and dine with carry overs and stranded with nothing in my pocket… forever glad I did my thing.”
