Leke Adeboye, son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has apologized for making an ‘extreme comment’ about pastors of the church.
KanyiDaily recalls that on Sunday, Adeboye’s son called some RCCG pastors “goats” because they preached in their various parishes after his father’s sermon at the National Headquarters.
in a statement shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, April 7, Leke apologized over his ‘insulting’ comment, saying the disciplinary action taken against him by the church is well received.
The cleric, who noted that he’ll use his time off for reflection, said though his comment was extreme, his intention was not to malign or insult the church.
The statement reads, “My sincere apology, I wish to use this medium to tender my unreserved apologies on the statement made from my social media handle about some of our esteemed pastors
“The disciplinary measures taken by the mission is well received and this period will be used to reflect and introspect.
“I wish to crave your indulgence to please forgive my extreme statement which I wish to emphasise was absolutely not intended to insult or malign.
“I also wish to apologise profusely to the entire leadership and pastors of our beloved church who might have been hurt by this statement.
“I remain humbly yours in God’s love and mercies. Yours in His service.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Pastor Leke Adeboye had recently described his wife, Titilope Adeboye, as a Holy Ghost hoodlum, alleging that she sets everything on fire.
