Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has reacted to the gruesome murder of the Anambra lawmaker, Okechukwu Okoye.
Up until his death, Okoye represented Aguata II Constituency in the State House of Assembly.
The lawmaker was kidnapped alongside his aide in his Toyota Sienna car by gunmen last week.
Okoye’s head, without his body, was later found on Saturday at Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Reacting to this unfortunate occurrence, Shehu Sani described it as a cruel and condemnable act. To him, this is evidence that there’s an even spread of lawlessness and barbarity in all parts of Nigeria.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote:
“The Beheading of the Anambra lawmaker Okechukwu Okoye by terrorist gunmen is cruel and condemnable.
“There’s even spread of lawlessness and barbarity in all parts of the country.”
