Bimbo, the wife of celebrity car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD Autos, is currently at the hospital fighting for her life after setting her home ablaze.

It was gathered that the incident happened at their mansion in Megamound estate, Lekki, Lagos on Wednesday, October 12. According to their neighbor, the victim had confronted her husband over the constant beatings she receives from him and a fight ensued.

“I woke up to noise of the duo fighting in their house. I saw IVD Autos beating and punching this woman while she was screaming for help. The next thing she did was to use petrol and set their house ablaze. Bimbo quickly jumped into the swimming pool as their luxury cars and apartment were almost razed to the ground. Luckily for them, their two kids were able to bolt out on time.

I quickly called for help and we rushed Bimbo and IVD to the hospital. Unfortunately, she was burnt beyond recognition. This is coming after weeks of her complaints on WhatsApp about what she has been enduring in her marriage.

Recall that in May 2019 whilst pregnant, Bimbo was beaten to a coma by her husband IVD. Her sister called out her husband on Instagram and alleged that he has beaten his pregnant wife over 6 times while she was carrying their child and threatened to fight him with her last kobo should her sister die.

Miraculously, Bimbo regained consciousness after some weeks.

In 2020, Bimbo called him out for domestic violence in a series of Instagram posts for domestic violence. Instablog9ja reported that she was beaten till she lost consciousness by the auto-dealer.

Coming out to confirm the reports, Bimbo noted that she had lived in self-denial for 19 years as her family kept supporting her family to ensure that her husband rises. What she has gotten in return are serial cheating and beatings.

She revealed that IVD autos, who established himself as an astute businessman of many trades, had repeatedly pointed his gun at her in the presence of their kids, and the last she had was when he beat her because of his brother.

In another twist of event, Bimbo revealed that she had had an affair with a man after filing for divorce from her husband.

According to her, she met someone who attracted her romantically because of how he treated her and cherished her as well. She explained that this man had been calling her for a long time while her husband was traveling and would not have time.

She made it clear that her relationship with the man was not sexual, but she knew she liked him because he treated her with respect and was always there for her when she was depressed.

Bimbo explained that her husband was trying to get her back emotionally, but it took a while before she could get him back because she was already in love with someone else.

Bimbo said he took her phone and saw the messages between her entangled lover and herself; he got angry and sent her and her children out of the house around 11 pm.

However, IVD Autos apologized to her and she accepted. The couple reunited and went on to celebrate their 11-year anniversary.
