Globally celebrated Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, were filmed exchanging greetings in the traditional Igbo way.
KanyiDaily had reported that Chimamanda was honoured in her hometown with the chieftaincy title of ‘Odeluwa Abba’ which means ‘She Who Writes For The World.’
Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, amongst other dignitaries were present at the ceremony in Abba, Njikoka local government area of the state.
Dr Ivara Esege, Chimamanda’s husband, was also present at the ceremony.
In a video circulating on social media, Peter Obi and Chimamanda were seen doing the Igbo “three handshake greeting”.
