Lagos Police Command Begins Community, Deploys 228 Officers To Their LGAs

Lagos State Police Command has began community policing with 228 constables who were deployed to their various local government areas.

The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this via his Twitter page on Thursday, said all 228 constables who are of Lagos origin, were part of 10,000 police recruits that passed out on December 29, 2022

Hundeyin said the police recruits have resumed duties after they were posted to various local government areas to boost community policing.

All constables of Lagos State origin, 228 of them, of the 10,000 that graduated from various police training institutions last month, reported for duty today.

“All have been posted to their respective LGAs to boost community policing. Welcome onboard, guys,” he wrote.

KanyiDaily had reported how 480 Police Constables held a protesr over the non-payment of their salaries for 18 months in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
