Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has refuted media reports which alleged the state government abandoned the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Celestine Uzodike blessed with sextuplet.
Soludo made the refutal in a statement issued and posted on his official Twitter handle on Tuesday evening.
According to him, a report about the incident was received in his office at the close of work last Friday.
He said the state government has committed to providing massive assistance to the couple.
The governor wrote, “My attention has just been drawn to the social media report alleging that state government “abandoned” the couple who were blessed with sextuplet.
“Report about the incident was received in my office by close of work on Friday last week, as shown in the memo below.
“Regardless, the State government has committed to providing massive assistance to the couple. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Uzodike.”
