Nigerian singer, Augustine Ahmedu, popularly known as Blackfacenaija has wondered why people are not frowning at their “favourite artistes” using and sampling the intellectual property of other people without credit.

Blackface Naija, who has over the years accused fellow singers of stealing his songs stated this on his official Twitter handle on Monday.

Recall that Blackfacenaija a few days ago, accused his junior colleague, Asake of
of intellectual property theft.

Blackfacenaija, a member of the defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz accused Asake of not seeking permission from him before remixing his song.

According to him, the fact that people are frowning at the government for mismanagement, corruption, and neglect of the people’s plight is a sign of progress.

He, however, wondered why people are not frowning at artistes for sampling and using others’ intellectual property without giving credit.

He wrote, “The fact that people are frowning at the government for mismanagement, corruption, neglect of the people’s plight is a sign of progress but I wonder why they are not frowning at their favorite artists for sampling and using other’s intellectual properties without giving credit.”
