Police Arrest Four Suspects Over Foiled Attempt To Kidnap Tiwa Savage In Lagos

Lagos State Police Command has arrested four persons in connection with the alleged attempt to kidnap popular singer, Tiwa Savage.

KanyiDaily recalls that Tiwa Savage had earlier confirmed that she escaped being kidnapped on Friday after there was a security breach at her Lagos residence.

An investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo said the kidnap was allegedly planned by Savage’s new domestic staff, who had been entrusted with vital information about her.

She said that the staff, who is her new driver, had been trailing the singer as she left her home and shared the information with other members of the alleged kidnapping gang.

It was gathered the kidnap attempt was foiled with the help of vigilante-style private security, and all of those involved were handed to the police at CID Alagbon in Ikoyi.

The Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi, in Lagos, confirmed the arrest fo four persons in connection with the alleged kidnap attempt.

”Yes, we have some suspects, they are in our custody. They are about four,” the department’s spokesperson, CSP Oluniyi Ogundeyi, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Lagos.

KanyiDaily recalls that Uyi Godson, an associate of popular singer, Wizkid, had threatened to expose rapper D’Prince for allegedly hating on his principal and Tiwa Savage.
