Adewusi spoke after voting in Ile-Ife, where he also praised the deployment of security personnel across the state.
The Accord deputy governorship candidate said their presence would help maintain peace during the election.
He however, expressed concern about the different times at which officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived at polling stations.
According to him, INEC officials reached some polling units early, while their arrival was delayed in other locations.
Adewusi warned that such delays could prevent voting from starting on time.
Despite the concerns, the Accord candidate said he remained hopeful of victory.
He said the party had campaigned extensively and had received strong support from voters across Osun.
Adewusi also expressed confidence that voters would be allowed to cast their ballots without interference and that the final result would represent the choice of the people.
He called on voters and other participants in the election to remain calm, peaceful and responsible throughout voting, vote counting and the collation of results.
