How Ogun Police Arrested Four Suspected Robbers After One Month Of Robbery

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command has arrested four suspected robbers one month after they carried out an operation in the state.

Spokesman of the command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Oyeyemi gave the names of the four suspected robbers as Sherrif Kamoru (28), Rabiu Seyidu (37), Opeyemi Adebayo (26) and Ajibola Fakolade (21).

He said the four were members of a robbery syndicate terrorising Sango-Ota and its environs in the state.

According to him, the suspects were arrested following a report lodged at Sango divisional headquarters on March 20, 2023, by one Adeleye Sunday.

He explained that the victim reported that he was attacked by some armed hoodlums at about 5:30 am in the Joju area of Sango-Ota.

Oyeyemi said, “He stated further that the hoodlums dispossessed him of his two phones after inflicting a matchet cut on his neck.

“Having taken away his phones, the hoodlums syphoned the sum of N600,000 from his account through the bank’s app on the phone.

“Upon the report, the DPO Sango-Ota division, CSP Saleh Dahiru, detailed his detectives to technically trace the suspects and bring them to justice.

“The detectives swung into action, and acting on credible intelligence, the hideout of the suspects was located and four of them were apprehended.

Items recovered from the suspects are one cutlass, one techno POP 2f belonging to the victim and a nose mask used by one of them during the operation.

Oyeyemi, however, said the Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Oladimeji, has directed that the suspects be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Departments for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that English singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran’s wife, Cherry Seaborn has revealed that the singer wrote seven tracks in four hours after discovering her cancer diagnosis in February 2022.

Recall that Sheeran, 32, had a few months ago, disclosed on Instagram that his wife Cherry was diagnosed with a tumour during her pregnancy with their second child.
