A man was reportedly apprehended defiling an 8-year-old girl in the Yenezue-Gene area of Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state.

According to sources, the suspect was romantically involved with the victim’s mother and frequently stays at her residence in Yenezue-Gene.
In a video shared on Facebook, residents of the community could be seen taking matters into their own hands as they flog and punish the man publicly.
Sharing the video a source said: “A man was allegedly caught r@ping an 8-year-old girl at Yenezue-Gene. From the information we got from our source the man was the mother’s lover and he stays in the house from time to time.”
