Nigeria’s highly esteemed music award show, The Headies, has unveiled its much-awaited nominations list for the 16th edition.

The 2023 Headies award is recognizing a diverse range of local and international artists who have made notable contributions to the music scene over the past year.

A standout among the nominees is Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy, who received the highest number of nominations with a total of 11 nods across various categories.

The would be a fierce competition for the Album of the Year award, where Burna Boy competes against the likes of Davido, Rema, Asake, Omah Lay, and Victony.

In an exciting development, this year’s edition will also honor international artists who have left an indelible mark on the Nigerian music industry.

The nominees for the International Artiste of the Year category include renowned names such as Drake, Future, Selena Gomez, Don Toliver, and Ed Sheeran.
