Recall that 276 female students of the Government Secondary School, Chibok town, Borno state, North East Nigeria, aged between 16 to 18 were kidnapped by the terrorist group in 2014.
Of that number, 57 of the schoolgirls escaped immediately following the incident after they jumped from the trucks on which they were being transported.
The Nigerian Armed Forces also rescued some of the school girls, but over 100 are still missing.
But, Joy Bishara and her cousin, Lydia Pogu, who were among those who escaped the attack relocated to the US.
According to reports, she graduated from Southeastern University, where she obtained a degree in social work in 2021.
Bishara, reports further revealed, recently got engaged in the US.
