My Ex-Husband’s Abused And Assaulted Me, Told Me He Is My Lord – Etinosa [Video]

Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has tearfully recounted the domestic abuse she endured during her past marriage.

During a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the actress revealed that she had married at the young age of 22 without fully comprehending the gravity of the situation she was entering.

Etinosa revealed that her husband subjected her to maltreatment and controlled every aspect of her life. Despite her relentless prayers and fasting, she eventually made the difficult decision to leave the marriage when she realized that her husband would not change.

Recalling her naivety at the time of marriage, she said, “I was green, I no know anything. I was a mumu. I was 22 when I got married. My husband told me that ‘I’m not your friend, I’m your lord’.

The movie star went on to recount a particularly distressing incident when she was tied up the night before seeking medical treatment at a clinic.

“His [my ex-husband’s] uncle called me when I was in the clinic. I was receiving treatment because the night before, they tied me up. I went through a lot the night before. So, I just said this is the end before I will die. I fasted. Ulcer nearly killed me. Fasting, praying.

“See all those CIA films wey they go put person head inside bowl of water and torture you because they want to hear the truth whether you are cheating or not?” she said.

When asked Jideowo asked if there was physical violence, Etinosa described the severity of the abuse, highlighting instances where her ex-husband’s actions led to hospitalization and the need for oxygen support.

She said “Wetin dey break person bone? Wetin dey carry person go hospital wey dem put oxygen for your nose?

“As tall as you are now, he [my ex-husband] is very… I don’t like short men. I like big people, I want to feel protected [laughs]. So, that kind one blow like this. If he slaps sef, shu!”

The actress shared the fear she experienced whenever her husband returned home and recounted how she resorted to using illicit substances to cope with the abuse inflicted by her estranged husband.

She said, “It [the domestic violence] got to a point where I was on drugs. Whenever he [my ex-husband] is coming home, normally as a woman you should be happy that your husband is coming home but I would just starched up and doped up so that no matter what he says, no matter what he’s doing, I’m just looking at him. Just so that there would be peace.”

KanyiDaily recalls that Etinosa Idemudia recently slammed African parents for using the fact that they birthed and raised their children as an excuse to get them to do what they want, regardless of if they actually want to or not.
