Popular Native Doctor ‘Akwa Okuko’ Kidnapped By Gunmen, Security Aides Killed At Anambra Hotel

A popular native doctor known as Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki has been kidnapped from one of his hotels in Oba, Idemili North local government area of Anambra State.

The native doctor, Akwa Okuko tiwara aki (an egg that breaks palm nut), whose real name is Chukwudozie Nwangwu, was abducted Sunday night from his hotel room by the gunmen who also shot two of his security aides to death.

Despite being reputed to possess the power of disappearance, Akwa Okuko was unable to escape when the kidnappers struck and killed two of his personal aides.

As one of the strongest native doctors in Anambra, the ease with which he was kidnapped within his own Triple P Hotel has raised eyebrows and questioned the rumored extent of his supernatural abilities.

“Two of his security men were shot dead. Where is Nwa Ocha and Odeshi? This is someone people flock to his Oba mansion for anti-bullet charms and other money rituals,” a source told The Nation.

The Anambra State police command has confirmed the incident, with the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, stating that the kidnapping occurred around 11:30 pm on the previous night.

In response to the distressing situation, the state Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye, has ordered operatives to go after the abductors and secure the release of Akwa Okuko.

“The incident happened around 11:30pm last night. CP Aderemi Adeoye has ordered that operatives go after his abductors and ensure his release,” the PPRO stated.

The news of the native doctor’s abduction has sent shockwaves throughout the region, prompting many individuals to visit his home in Oba to ascertain the truth of the incident, considering his renowned powers.

“Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki of Oba was kidnapped last night in his Triple P Hotel.

“Despite the fact he prepares disappearance and anti-bullet charms for many people, the kidnappers still succeeded in taking him away. Two of his security men were even killed by the kidnappers,” the source added.

As at the time of filing this report, the kidnappers have not made any contact with the family of Akwa Okuko regarding any ransom demands.
