Afrobeats superstar, Davido paid a touching tribute to Mrs Jane Balogun, the late mother of his colleague and rival, Wizkid.

KanyiDaily recalls that a close associate of Wizkid confirmed the sorrowful news of his mother’s passing after a brief illness in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.

Following her death, many Nigerian celebrities including Davido extended their condolences and prayed that Wizkid overcomes sadness as a result of his mum’s death.

During his recent performance at Detroit’s Afro Nation concert in the United States, Davido halted his on-stage performance to honor Wizkid’s late mother.
