The suspects were arrested at different locations in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State during a sting operation following a series of intelligence reports which linked the suspects to all kinds of online criminal activities.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren.
Uwujaren said items recovered from the suspected “Yahoo Boys” included sophisticated mobile phones, a television set, a red Toyota Camry LE car, a black Honda car, and two Lexus cars.
The statement said the suspects will be charged in court as soon as the investigations are concluded.
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that FCT Minister and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nyesom Wike may have joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as his name was included in the list of the campaign council for Bayelsa governorship election which was released by the APC on Tuesday evening.
