A fire incident occurred at the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) power transmission station situated in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State.

It was gathered that the fire reportedly engulfed the 330 kilovolt (kV) facility during the night hours on Thursday.
Nafiu Abubakar, the spokesperson for the Kebbi State Police, confirmed the incident to TheCable.
However, he mentioned that he lacked comprehensive details about the incident at the time of the report.
Twitter user @Imranmuhdz shared a video on the social media platform, showcasing the intense flames at the burning facility.

The incident comes barely 24 hours after Nigeria suffered a blackout following the collapse of the national grid.
