“Naira Marley Almost Made Me Mad” – DJ Splash Recounts Ordeal As Iyabo Ojo Visits His Home [Video]

Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has visited a former Marlian in-house DJ, Mathew Aderoju, widely known as DJ Splash, at his parents’ residence in Ikotun, Lagos.

Iyabo Ojo recently vowed to fight the Marlian Records boss, Naira Marley, following the untimely death of one of his signee, Mohbad, who died under controversial circumstances.

In a video shared on social media, the actress visited the residence of DJ Splash where he recounted his harrowing experiences involving Naira Marley and another singer, Zinoleesky.

DJ Splash said that his journey with Naira Marley began when he won the DJ Consequence “DJ competition” in 2020, leading to his introduction to Naira Marley and subsequent signing to Marlian Records.

According to him, Naira Marley and his associates allegedly conspired to destabilize his mental state after he expressed his desire to pursue a singing career alongside his DJ responsibilities.

The DJ revealed that his life took a dark turn after he moved into Marley’s label headquarters, and he began experiencing mental health issues.

He said that when they were faced with mounting questions from his family, Naira Marley and his group reportedly forced him out of the house.

DJ Splash said that it was only when his mother came to pick him up from Marlian Music HQ that the full extent of his deteriorating condition became apparent, including memory loss.

Since returning home, DJ Splash said has been unable to work because he is a shadow of his old self, and this troubling episode has raised questions about the well-being and treatment of artists in Marlian Records.
